Love the Canisius College IT Department

The old server that everyone who’s ever been in my major used to use at my college is having its very own funeral. It doesn’t get much better than this:

The Mac server “Chupacabra” died peacefully on October 14, 2009 in an ITS life support facility. Although “Chupa” (as it was affectionately called) was a computer, it was nonetheless very close to our hearts in the DMA Program, and will be buried respectfully on the grounds of Lyons Hall on November 3, 2009. A funeral procession will begin at 4:30PM from Room 118 in Lyons Hall, where a reception will follow. All are welcome to attend.

Mr. Jamie O’Neil
Assistant Professor, Digital Media Arts
Communications Studies Department
Canisius College
Buffalo, NY

This is something that I would actually come back to school for but, of course, its on a day that is not suitable for people who live outside of the 2 mile expanse of Buffalo. *sigh*

I’m also fairly certain that I am the one that coined the term “Chupa.” Just sayin’.
