who am i? i'm a media designer

Welcome to my home on the web. My name is Kirsten A. Jahn and the purpose of this site is to introduce you to me and my skills as a media designer. Ever since I was a little girl in elementary school I have been interested in computers and design. From these humble beginnings I have evolved into much more.

I am currently working as a senior web designer at an internet marketing company in Philadelphia, Pa. A suburban Philadelphia native, I graduated from Canisius College of Buffalo, New York in May 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Digital Media Arts and a minor in Business Management. I particularly enjoy the disciplines of web design and video production/editing.

While at Canisius, my extracurricular activities included being president of Canisius College Television and web designer/advisor for The Griffin, the student newspaper on campus. I also produced live broadcasts of Canisius College home basketball games.

I enjoy being busy and spending long hours on the computer. My interests also include photography, robotics, cars, travel, music, and trains. I also try to maintain an active presence in the technology community of Philadelphia by attending events put on by such groups as PANMA, Philadelphia WordPress, Photoshop Philadelphia, and PhillyCHI.
